Trust in Male and Female Friendship

It was hypothesized that trust will be higher in female same sex friendships then in male same sex friendships. Cross sectional research design was used to conduct the present study. In order to collect data, purposive sampling technique was used. The data were collected through Rempel and Holmes Trust scale (1985). Cronbach’s alpha revealed reliability for the sample to be .77. To analyze the data, t-test and Pearson product moment correlation were used. Result revealed that female same sex friends have more trust among them, than male same sex friends.
