Abstract
This research aimed to investigate the relationship between personality type and work-family conflict among 154 women doctors from different hospitals of Lahore, Pakistan. It was hypothesized that there was a relationship between personality type and work-family conflict. Correlational research design was used. Type A/B Behavior Pattern Scale (Dhair & Jain, 2001) and Work-Family Conflict Scale (Carlson, Kacmar & Williams, 2000) were administered. Cronbach alpha of all the above scales was estimated to retain its reliability. Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive significant relationship between personality type A and work inference with family plus family inference with work. Linear Regression analysis showed that personality type A was significant predictor of work inference to family and family inference to work. Implications are useful for career guidance in organization world as a result working efficiency of employees should be improved.
