Abstract

The present research aimed to investigate the differences in environmental emotional intelligence and interpersonal relations across different age groups. It was hypothesized that there is likely to be a significant difference on environmental emotional intelligence and interpersonal relations. The sample was composed of 150 (males and females, 50 adults, 50 older adults and 50 adolescents) from different departments of University of Punjab, Lahore, and high schools of Ali Pur Chattha. Environmental emotional intelligence was measured by using self constructed questionnaire. Interpersonal relations were measured using Relationship Scale Questionnaire (Scharfe & Bartholomew, 1995). Between group research design was used to analyze the differences. The results showed that there are no significant differences in environmental emotional intelligence and interpersonal relations across different age groups. The results were compared with the existing researches. This research will provide future direction for further researches on ecological intelligence.
